To attack Wilkie's conjecture via an adapted version of the Bombieri-Pila determinant method, a suitable parametrization theorem is required. I will recall the conjecture and explain what suitable precisely means. Finally, I will explain my current research project on how to possibly achieve this by studying the complexity of a preparation theorem by D. Miller.
