Some Online Resources for Grades 3 – 12 and for Undergraduate Mathematics
I will present some online educational math resources that teachers, students and parents can use in a variety of different ways. Included in this presentation will be access to tutorials about open source software that students or adults can use to make their own resources.
Bio:
In 1988, Barb Forrest began teaching mathematics to students in grades 7 through 12 in Alberta and then relocated to Ontario. After working as a teacher and the Program Coordinator for the Adult and Continuing Education Program for Wellington County in Guelph, she spent a few years employed in the tech industry. Since 2003, she has been a lecturer in the Mathematics Faculty at the University of Waterloo. Barb is particularly interested in teaching online classes and creating free and accessible online resources.
