Abstract:
In this presentation, I will focus on the importance of vascular changes induced in the host tissue by the presence of a tumour. By means of a mathematical model and through test simulations I will show how the effects of those changes can be diverse depending on the initial vascular state and unexpected in the sense that they are not always in favour of an efficient tumour evelopment. Therapy planning in this context is a challenge since treatment is not always the best choice.
