Electronic Travel Authorization.
For those who are european citizens, it is worth to inform you that, starting from March 2016, before entering Canada you need to apply for a Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) (similar to the US Visa Waiver Program). You will need to apply online through Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)'s website and, in most circumstances, it is anticipated the eTA will be approved almost immediately after an application is submitted although definitive times for approval are not yet known. There is a CAD 7 fee for each eTA and once obtained it is typically valid for 5 years.
