This is a four day meeting focused on new methods and directions of research in number theory (arithmetic geometry and automorphic forms) and emerging applications of these areas in information technology. The conference is aimed at both junior and senior researchers in the field. The proposed meeting will be structured as a series of lectures by experts in these fields. More specifically the meeting will focus on several aspects of number theory as follows:
In the three topics described above, the work of Kumar Murty has been substantial and influential. The conference will take place around his 60th birthday and also aims at honouring his many contributions to number theory, arithmetic geometry, and information technology.
Banquet
A banquet buffet/dinner will occur on the evening of Monday, June 13th, 2016, at 6 pm at the Faculty Club of the University of Toronto. Dinner tickets can be reserved through the registration form (available on May 9th, 2016). The buffet/dinner will accommodate all dietary restrictions.
